    actually for it to be a legal shot, the cue has to be raised 45 degrees or more, and if u go under the ball its called a scoop, also illegal, u have to shoot in the middle of the ball for it to be legal

    It is not a foul if you jump the ball this way. It is only a foul if you scoop a ball. Also, when you are good at jumping, you will not tear the cloth. It is only people who are trying to get the feel of how to jump correctly that end up ripping the cloth. What he did was both legal and correct.

    if your not careful there is every possibility that you can tear the felt, so be cautious.

    yeah its koool, it takes practice but u get used to jumping after u have been doign it a while, and i can do it pretty god, sometimes i miss but nobody is perfect so yeah
